Berkeley Homes continues to show complete contempt for residents by using Sopwith Way for HGV and construction traffic to Vista development.

Sopwith Way – Massive Increase in Traffic and Worse to Come!

Following the decision of Berkeley Homes and Battersea Power Station Development Company to resurface Sopwith Way, remove the speed humps and open it up to all traffic there has been a massive increase in traffic along this narrow service road which runs within metres of many apartments at Chelsea Bridge Wharf. The traffic has come from HGVs waiting to access the Vista development site at the junction of Sopwith Way and Queenstown Road and from general traffic from the extremely busy Queenstown Road which are looking for a cut through to the Battersea Power Station site or for somewhere convenient to turn around to avoid going into the congestion charge zone.

Notes from meeting of Warwick Building residents, L&Q and Berkeley Homes (15th March) finally released! Widespread anger at Berkeley Homes, Consort / Peverel and L&Q

Residents are very concerned and angry about a sudden uplift in their service charges, claiming that it is well above current inflation rate (3.5%). Some residents of advised of a 13% year on year increase in their service charges; others report a 150% increase.

Latest News on Right to Manage at Chelsea Bridge Wharf

The head lesee of Warwick Building at CBW, London & Quadrant Housing Association, has apparently indicated that they are happy to appoint an alternative managing company chosen by residents (i.e. get rid of Peverel without RTM). A majority of residents from Warwick have signed a document initiating the Right to Manage process and there was a meeting (15th March 2012) with L&Q and residents of Warwick with representation from Peverel / Berkeley to discuss service charge hikes. Residents expect a response from L & Q soon clarifying their position re Right to Manage / change of management company without RTM
