Battersea Power Station Magic Bus
The Battersea Power Station Development Company is currently driving an EMPTY Mercedes minibus around Chelsea Bridge wharf at 5 minute intervals, regularly exceeding the 5mph speed limit in Sopwith Way . This is a test run for the 12 hours a day service starting in January 2017. Residents have not been consulted. This is in addition to the cement mixers, HGVs etc which Battersea Power Station Development Company are running up and down Sopwith Way every day, to access the BPS site via Grosvenor Arch.
Sopwith Way is a private road and The Battersea Power Station Development Company would not be able to do any of this without permission from Berkeley Homes. Berkeley Homes gave them this permission at the start of 2016 without any consultation with residents. Apparently The Battersea Power Station Development Company have paid an unspecified sum of money in lieu of this use but neither they nor Berkeley Homes are prepared to clarify the detail on these payments.
