Harry Scoffin of ‘Free Leaseholders’ campaign group writes:
”The multi-billion-pound freeholder lobby, with its considerable legal and policy resources, is currently bombarding the Commons Housing Select Committee with submissions as it reviews the draft Leasehold and Commonhold Reform Bill for pre-legislative scrutiny.
I will be giving oral evidence to the Select Committee on Tuesday, 3 March, but it will be a short session and I won’t be able to cover everything myself, even with our written submission.
Numbers matter.
The Committee needs to hear from leaseholders like you.
The survey ends next month, but it is limited and not where the real battle is.
The written submissions are where freeholders and their lawyers are unleashing their slippery eloquence. Don’t be infantilised by a survey, let’s fight back!
If you have any views on policy, even better.
Every written submission will be read.”
