Make Your Voice Heard : Leaseholder meeting with Urang & unelected RTM Directors Mon. 15th Sep 6.30 pm – at Pestana or Online
Just a reminder to all leaseholders that there is a meeting with Urang and the unelected RTM company directors tomorrow, Mon. 15th Sep 6.30 pm – at Pestana or Online
Despite RTM, you currently have no say whatsoever in how your service charges are spent or what the priorities for Urang should be. The directors of the RTM company are unelected and are not consulting with leaseholders. Therefore I strongly recommend that all leaseholders attend the meeting, online or in person and make your voice heard.
You are invited to submit questions in advance to chelseabridgewharf@urang.co.uk
(they can’t cope with questions in real time apparently :))
Date: Monday, 15 September 2025
Time: 6:30pm – 8:00pm
Venue: Pestana Chelsea Bridge Hotel, Room: Lisbon A
Online Option: Register to attend online via Microsoft Teams (contact chelseabridgewharf@urang.co.uk for the link)
We encourage all qualifying leaseholders to attend, either in person or online. Light refreshments will be available for those joining us on-site.

Here are the questions I (Mike O’Driscoll) have submitted for the meeting – you may well have your own:
Dear Urang,
These are my questions for the leaseholders’ meeting on 15th which I will be attending.
They are given in descending order of importance (i.e no,1 is most important)
1.When will there be a fair Election of directors of the CBW Right to Manage Company and an AGM. The current directors have never been elected as directors and there has never been an AGM of the Chelsea Bridge Wharf Right to Manage company. When will there be a fair election process announced and a date for elections and an AGM? The directors stated in 2024 that they would not allow elections and after intervention by myself and LKP they reluctantly agreed to have them, but with no date given. Urang are supposedly organising the elections and at the first meeting with residents on July 9th Urang stated there would be elections on September 14th but no process or time table was given and no candidates were invited to come forward. A few weeks ago, without any meaningful reason the election was indefinitely postponed.
The current directors do not have any mandate from the leaseholders – they do not speak for us. They have a long history of avoiding and manipulating elections for CBWRA chair and committee. One of them was allegedly involved in a physical assault on a leaseholder which led to the police authorising charges of common assault and allegedly confronted and attempted to intimidate another leaseholder during elections for CBWRA chair. This is relevant today because In my view it is not appropriate for such a person to be a director of the CBW RTM company.
I remain ”banned” from the CBW app for pointing out that the people who are now the directors of the RTM company were misinforming residents for many years that RTM was not possible.
https://chelseabridgewharf.org.uk/2022/11/15/the-orwellian-world-of-the-chelsea-bridge-wharf-residents-association/
and this also makes fair elections impossible,
The current directors have repeatedly misinformed leaseholders at Chelsea Bridge Wharf about key issues including Right to Manage and for instance made a false claim to have started a Right to Manage process in January 2022 (while at the same time saying RTM was impossible!).

2. Urang claimed (notes from meeting on 9th July) that they had reviewed all contracts with suppliers. How many contracts were reviewed and can you give an account of how the review was done and by who? Were the contracts tested against current market prices/offers/services available? In particular what was the conclusion of your review of communal electricity supply contract?
Rendall and Rittner have been notoriously poor at getting a good deal on energy so I would be very interested to hear if (as it seems) Urang were happy with the existing contract/s for the various blocks. I am aware Warwick has a separate contract arranged by L&Q. https://chelseabridgewharf.org.uk/2023/04/20/rendall-and-rittner-the-failure-of-bulk-tendering-of-electricity-supply-and-40-service-charge-increases/It seems very unlikely that this process could have been done thoroughly in the time available and no detail has been given to leaseholders regarding these supposed reviews so again there is a complete lack of transparency. We are supposed to just take your word for it that all these contracts were meaningfully reviewed within a few weeks and none could be improved upon except the gardening supplier which was changed.3. Why can’t leaseholders see the contract with Urang? What fees are urang being paid? What is the notice period in the contract (from RTM co to Urang and vice versa). Urang were appointed without any meaningful consultation with residents. https://chelseabridgewharf.org.uk/2025/03/09/how-urang-were-selected-to-be-the-new-agent-at-chelsea-bridge-wharf/
4. How many RTM members are there currently?
5. Why can’t we see the notes of weekly meetings between Urang and the RTM directors ?
6. Urang promised a new era of transparency. What does this mean? What is the difference now than before RTM in terms of transparency ? How have leaseholders got any more say now than before Right to Manage?
It is pretty tragic that Urang/The RTM company will not allow questions at the meeting but only in advance to give you time to prepare your answers and to avoid being caught out, It speaks of a guilty conscience and a lack of confidence in the directors or Urang being able to give an honest answer to an honest question,
Regards
Mike O’Driscoll
