Rendall & Rittner – no plans to consult residents on real issues at Chelsea Bridge Wharf
At a meeting this evening (9th March), supposedly to discuss ”The Community Plan” for Chelsea Bridge Wharf and Vista, Rendall & Riitner confirmed that they had no plans to consult residents about either the issues effecting residents or their satisfaction with Rendall & Rittner.
Rendall & Rittner have found time however to send out a childish, superficial, extremely poorly designed survey about ”community feel” which carefully avoided any real questions such as ‘what are the things that need improving at Chelsea Bridge Wharf’?, ”Are you satisfied with the performance of Rendall and Rittner ?”, ”Do you feel that the service charge is good value for money?” etc.
The Rendall & Rittner survey on ”Community Feel” had 51 responses out of approximately 1100 properties at Chelsea Bridge Wharf – i.e. response rate of less than 5%. Not surprising given how irrelevant and unprofessional it was.
Of course, if Rendall & Rittner were to ask such real questions they would get real answers and then they would have to do something to address them. Instead, they wish to engage in a superficial PR stunt called a”community plan’ which has already been near finalised by Rendall & Rittner without any resident input.
While Rendall & Rittner refuse to ask residents meaningful questions, they have apparently got the time and money to send round ANOTHER survey about the ”Community Plan”. I predict that this will be met with an even lower response than the first one, of that is possible.
So, dear Resident, when you see this survey about the ‘Community Plan” in a few months’ time, remember that this is a meaningless piece of PR, not based on any genuine or professional consultation with residents and it is designed to distract you from the fact that Rendall & Rittner have not consulted with residents in the whole time that hey have been managing agents at Chelsea Bridge Wharf. I think one can only conclude that that is because they are frightened of the answers they would get if they did some real consultation. Answers like these perhaps (See Google reviews for Rendall and Rittner)
They sent round some nonsense about a community plan and it looked like it had been designed by a primary school child for their homework project. If they’re going to do research probably best to hire someone who knows what they’re doing . It was just a dumb PR exercise though so I guess no point having it done by professionals

Why are they talking about a ‘’community plan’’ which is just a load of PR b**sh** and completely ignoring the major issues which are their general uselessness and overcharging of residents

The ”Community Plan” is indeed a pathetic attempt by Rendall and Rittner to avoid consultation with residents on the issued that actually matter to residents: service charges, performance of Rendall & Rittner generally, noise form speeding cars on Sopwith Way and ”supercar” nuisance generally. Rendall & Rittner’s ”community plan” is a PR stunt and a feeble one at that.

I went to that meeting – everyone laughed when that PR spin doctor from R&R said that ‘Berkeley Homes are our friends’’. Utter twaddle . They are idiots but treat us as if we are. Hallo R&R I am a grown up with brain I see right through your corporate PR

Community Plan means we don’t want to consult residents about real issues so we will just talk about fluffy stuff like ‘neighbourhood feeling’.

In the ten years I have lived here there has been no consultation with residents about the performance of the managing agents (Peverel or Rendall and rittner)

I agree that there has never been any consultation with residents and I think we know why. Rendall + Rittner are held in contempt by so many residents and they don’t want to hear it . They will have to hear it eventually though. I am talking to several other managing agents an anyone who wants to share info / be kept up to date on CBW matters including R&R can email residents@chelseabridgewharf.org.uk

The main problem I would say is that we have no residents’ association. Charlie Garton_Jones used to run one but it was a joke – they are in bed with R&R when they should be holding them to account. Sweetheart deal – R&R push through things like £1 million door replacement (with 25% residents support) to please Mr Garton-Jones’ super-rich Ferrari-owning clients and the ‘residents association’ turns a blind eye to R&r being substandard and hiking the service charges

Agree 100% until we have residents association we will not get this sorted. Garton Jones is an estate agent and has a massive conflict of interests as chair of a largely non existent residents’ association
